Historical Battles of Alexander

The following links contain information on the various battles as well as an order of battle for use with WAB.  The OOB's have tried to represent the actual number of troops on the field at the time reduced by some factor.  The numbers of troops do not take into account their effectiveness in the battle and  can only be used as is by the most ambitious of gamers (or those of you who game in 6mm.)  I would recommend using these as a starting point and then reducing the numbers of some of the less important troops as you feel necessary.  The OOB's do give you an idea of the ratio of troops needed to field these armies as they may have historically fought one another.

Chaeronea, 338 B.C.

Granikos, 334 B.C.

Issos, 333 B.C.

Gaugamela, 331 B.C.

Hydaspes, 326 B.C.

These battles are here as guides and are, by no means, any sort of limit on what scenarios you can game for this campaign.
