Bug Tunnel Tutorial
In this tutorial we will show how you can make a bug tunnel for underground fighting in your Starship Troopes game.

| Start by cutting pieces off of a sheet of insulation foam. I used 2" foam for my 15mm figs, if you were going to use 28mm figs you may want to try glueing 2 pieces together, or a piece of 2" foam and a 1" piece. | Cut the pieces into irregular shapes with a wonder cutter or just a sharp knife. |

| Then use Plastruct plastic glue to get the irregular look. Just drip the glue on a little bit at a time. Make sure you do this step OUTSIDE! | The more glue you use the deeper the holes will get. So if you just want a slight irregular surface use the glue sparringly. Alternately if you want deeper holes pour it on. | |

| Paint the piece you have fabricated with a large brush and latex paint. I used a yellowish colour as that looks best on my table. Dark browns will work too. Use a smaller brush to get to some of the deeper holes in the terrain | Highlight the irregular surface by dry brushing with a lighter colour. I used a mixture of the original colour and white latex paint followed by a lighter dry brush of straight white. | |

| Here are two of my troopers making their way through the tunnel. Obviously the grass surface will be replaced with a suitable table for gaming but this better highlights the tunnels for the picture. | You can arrange your tunnel structures in any way you want. You can even glue them to a table if you would like. I'm not going to as it allows for more modularity in the layout. It will also allow me to replace one big piece with two little ones if the bugs tunnel through it. | |
