Large Cottage Tutorial page 2

Spackle the cottage using, well, spackle. I find that a palette knife is very good for this (available in art stores). A bread knife would also work well. Cover only the edges of the bricked areas.   Prime the cottage with spray paint. Please note, if spraying unpainted, unspackled, Building Blanks with spray paint, use a plastic safe spray paint as some propellants in spray paint will melt the foam center of the foam core.

Paint exposed bricks red.   Paint the plaster light greyish tan and drybrush it a lighter shade. Then make a wash by mixing dark grey paint with Future floor finish to a very watery consistency. Paint this over the plaster. Paint window sills brown or grey.

Paint the roof dark grey and then drybrush it a lighter grey.   Draw vines on the side of the house with white glue and sprinkle flock over the glue. Let it dry.
