How much do you charge for custom orders? Pricing for our standard quality: (We also offer premium quality painting, please email us for a quote)
Please email us for a detailed quote at pictors@pictorsstudio.com. The price may be adjusted up or down depending on the complexity of the figures you would like painted.
Do you have a customer satisfaction guarantee? Yes, we do. We have a customer satisfaction guarantee for our custom orders. This is how we work it: you send us the figures you wish to have painted and/or converted, or you send us payment for the figures if you would like us to buy them for you. We paint, convert, model, base, flock, etc. to your specifications. We then post pictures of your completed models on the Pictors Studio website and/or email you pictures and notify you that your figures are finished. If you like them and wish to purchase them, then you send us payment (we accept checks, money orders, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) and we will send you your figures. If you look at the pictures and decide the figures don't meet your expectations, then we will try and correct them, or send you replacement unpainted figures** (if you provided them) or we will refund the purchase price of the figures (if you sent us money to buy the figures) and we will keep the painted figures to sell elsewhere. If you purchase the figures and we ship them to you, and after seeing the figures "in person" you decide they don't meet your expectations, then you have 1 week to notify us and we will determine on an individual basis how we can best meet your needs. We reserve the right to request payment in advance for certain unusual orders. This will be discussed at the time the details of the commission are arranged. **We obviously will only be able to replace currently available, in production figures that are readily available from a commercial source. Because of this, if you send us out of production, rare, or otherwise hard to get figures, the painting order is binding and we will require payment to ship the figures.
How are our figures based? We base all our miniatures on metal bases (free of charge). This is a great way to transport them. They look exactly the same as if based on standard bases, but they can be transported in boxes lined with magnetic sheets (which we can provide upon request). We also putty the bases (free of charge) so the minis don't look like they are standing on rocks. Look at the galleries of our website to see how this looks.
Oh, man, I wanted my figures based this way instead... No problem! Let us know how you would like them based and we can do that for you.
Protective Coatings... We of course spray all our figures with a dull coat protective spray to prevent the paint from chipping during transport. We can also coat them with a gloss coating upon request.
What about shipping? Orders are shipped via UPS or US Mail and are insured. Tracking numbers for UPS can be provided upon request. Standard shipping in the US with insurance and tracking is about $12. If the order is exceptionally large (either size or monetary value), additional shipping charges will apply. Additional charges will apply for shipping outside the US.
How do I pay? Payment is easy. We accept checks, money orders, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. You can email us your credit information, or email it to us in several emails (which is safer), or we can set up a special custom item in our online store and you can submit your information via our secure server. If you prefer not to submit it via the web, email us your phone number and we will call you to get the information that way. I looked in your Online Store, but I didn't see exactly what I want... Not a problem. Simply email us for a quote. We can do anything your heart (or game master) desires.
I want to get a present for my friend, but I don't know what to get... Again, not a problem. You can buy a gift certificate to our online store or for a custom painting job. We will mail or email a gift certificate to him and he can spend it at his leisure. Email us for details.
