Small Cottage Tutorial

This is one way to finish the 25 or 28 mm scale Small Cottage. Look for other examples in the near future.

Start with a Small Cottage Building Blank.   Glue it together with wood glue and let dry.

Glue popsicle sticks to the cottage to create beams, window sills, and steps.   Glue strips of cardboard to the cottage to create laths.

Spackle the cottage using, well, spackle. I find that a palette knife is very good for this (available in art stores). A bread knife would also work well. Cover only the edges of the laths.   Prime the cottage with spray paint. Please note, if spraying unpainted, unspackled, Building Blanks with spray paint, use a plastic safe spray paint as some propellants in spray paint will melt the foam center of the foam core.
