Justin Tebo's Buildings
Here are some pictures of the two buildings that I hace recently put together using your building blanks. The one story is from your small cottage with a roof made from teddy bear fur that I also purchased form you. The Two story is made from your large cottage and has a roof made from Plastruct. For the construction of both buildings I used bass wood strips to form the wooden structure and for the walls I appied fine sand to wet paint and then once that was dry applied another coat of paint. In the next step I painted all the wood and then drybrushed it with a lighter brown shade. Then I gave the walls a wash of brown to dirty up the surface, making around the lower part of the walls dirtier from the mud splashing up against the house when it came of the roof. The longest thing it took me to do was cut out the strips of basswood. Also I made both the roofs removable. I am fairly happy with the outcome. I have a bunch of adobe buidlings that I have not yet put together. Right now I am finishing up a unit of knights to complete my army in time for the WAB tourney at Cold Wars. I am even thinking of pre-ordering some more building blanks to pick up at the con. Well let me know what you think of the buildings. You guys definately saved me time by not having to cut out all the foamcore shapes, I did enough of that at Architecture school.
